I have been a sudoku fanatic for years. Have done about 6 puzzles in this book and 3 have had multiple correct answers. Quite annoying, and means they weren't properly formatted.Book is large, 11x8.5 with 6 puzzles per page.
I enjoy sudoku puzzles, but I expected one puzzle per page... there are 6 per page in this book... so when you open it, you get a whopping 12 puzzles across two pages and maybe it's just me, but I like doing these one at a time and seeing so many really throws me off. The book itself is pretty big too, so apart from the puzzles being good difficulty-wise... I'm not a fan of the book layout. Unfortunately, because of the format I haven't really been doing them :/
Condition of the book is 5 stars. I bought this for my husband who loves sudoku. He and his friend have contests with each other to see who finishes the fastest. They both said that even the "hardest" games in this book were super easy. This may be a good book for beginners but if you are used to playing. This is just too easy.
The biggest issue is the size as there are 4 games per page. This makes the boxes small to work with and more difficult than other products. I was extremely disappointed and am going to purchase a different book for this reason.
Very happy with the book. I read some prior reviews about the same level of difficulty and I agree. You can jump around in the book to puzzles of various level of difficulties and they play about the same. Some "easy" levels are harder than "hard" and vice versa. it's not a big deal for me as I just enjoy playing the puzzles (and it's a confidence boost when I breeze through a hard level) :).A couple critics:1. Puzzles are a little small and the puzzles along the left page are close to the binding which make it a little more difficult to fill in the numbers.2. I have noticed the "author" sometimes uses patterns to fill in the puzzle.
I bought the physical book and was disappointed in the size of the grids. I expected them to be larger. I like to put possible numbers at the top of each grid before putting the solution number in the box. There is not room to do this unless you have a VERY, VERY fine point writing tool.
I thought this would be an awesome puzzle book to give to my mom for part of her birthday present. When I opened it, I found that the top row of all of the top puzzles had been cut off. That means a third of the puzzles can't be used, and a bunch of the answer keys are ruined as well.
Absolutely TERRIBLE. The sudokus are NOT intuitive, and even the easy ones are too hard. It takes the fun out of brain teasers, and most of the puzzles would take me 30 minutes to an hour to complete. They are NOT designed like most sudokus and this book is an awful purchase if you're just looking for a travel book to keep you occupied on a long car ride or flight. The book is also WAY oversized--more the size of a large magazine than a small gas station-sized book.
